Answer:
I have used this product on carpenter bees with great success; it just doesn't have an immediate knock down power, but it does kill them. It's the only product that I use.

In Sacramento CA Yellowjackets are in the lawn of our home and our neighbor do you make a product that will kill and cause the insects to nest elsewhere without killing the entire lawn?

We sprayed a steady stream of Spectracide Pro directly into a small (1/2" by 3/4") opening in an exterior wall right next to a large (2" diam.) metal casing for electrical lines. We kept spraying for over 45 minutes until no more wasps emerged from the opening. It's been over an hour since we sprayed and I can still hear some very angry buzzing from the inside of that same wall. Will those buzzing yellow jackets eventually die, or could they possibly chew through the interior wall? Should we keep spraying?

It can take up to 24 hours. It sounds like you sprayed them pretty thoroughly -- if you still hear buzzing a day later, please let us know.

What are the dangers of use indoors ?

I had a massive nest in the basement of my home. The yellow jacks made a nest in the insulation in between sill and outer joist. I had no choice but to use this spray immediately. I didn't realize or read the can until after I sprayed. It killed about 300 yellow jacks. What can / should I do since I already sprayed indoors ? There is no smell except when you are about 3 feet from the area. 90 percent of the spray is on the insulation which will be removed along with the nest in about 24 hours.

Thanks,

Tony

yellow jackets in retaining wall

We used 3 cans of regular spectracide wasp and hornet killer, but the yellow jackets are still coming out of our retaining wall 3 days later, not as many, but they are still there. Does this "pro" version work more effectively. It says it kills the wasps up for up to 4 weeks after application, how does that work?

Answer:
It's just a different formula. The SpectracidePRO formula has a longer-lasting residual -- the green can will keep killing insects that return to the nest for several days. SpectracidePRO can also be sprayed around electrical equipment. We're guessing that you have a large nest and, because it has been built inside your retaining wall, you have not been able to thoroughly soak it. If you are still noticing yellow jackets several days later, we recommend our foaming aerosol designed to treat hard-to-reach places with an expanding foam: Spectracide Carpenter Bee & Ground-Nesting Yellowjacket Killer (http://www.spectracide.com/Products...). Good luck!
